Maldives, the perfect Paradise
I truly believe that every person should get away to one of those desktop-saver, picturesque destinations at least once in their life. The Maldives, honeymooners haven and celebrity hideout, is one of those places. The 1,192 islands that comprise the country, are located on the Laccadive Sea, south of India and Sri Lanka, making it the most geographically dispersed country on Earth. Only 192 of these islands are inhabited. Islands come in all shapes and sizes, and most are entirely occupied by world famous resorts such as Holiday Inn, Shangri-La, Four Seasons and also the island’s namesake residencies.
A group of friends and I were recommended the Kandooma Resort in the South Male Atolls, with promises of perfect surf, idyllic beaches with white sand and crystal blue water, and total relaxation.
